con·tort Pronunciation Key (kn-tôrt)

v. con·tort·ed, con·tort·ing, con·torts
v. tr. To twist, wrench, or bend severely out of shape: pain that contorted their faces.

v. intr. To become twisted into a strained shape or expression. See Synonyms at distort.

n 1: the act of twisting or deforming the shape of something (e.g., yourself) 2: a tortuous and twisted shape or position;


Contortion-Stock is a group or club for deviants who take stock photography that depicts its subject in some sort of strange (contorted ;)) postition.

Competitions and Group Events

:bulletpurple: Competition One: Design the ~contortion-stock avatar!

Rules: The avatar must conform to dA's rules on avatar submission and sum-up what contortion-stock is all about! You can use any medium, colour or form in your creation.
Reward: The winning image becomes the ~contortion-stock avatar!
Deadline: 01-02-06

Rules: The logo must be 400px in width and can be of any height (within reason). It must also sum-up what contortion-stock is all about! You can use any medium, colour or form in your creation.
Reward: The winning image becomes the ~contortion-stock logo!

((Members are those who submit their images to our gallery and actively take part in competitions and group activities))

To join ~contortion-stock please send a note entitled "JOIN" to ~contortion-stock. Please note that all join requests that aren't submitted by note may go un-noticed and un-answered.
Either watch :+devwatch: ~contortion-stock or add the icon (:icon contortion-stock: -- without the spaces) to your journal.

Please note, once you have become a member, any favourites from your gallery that we have added to our collection will be removed. This is due to dA's policy on clubs/groups an favourite abuse.

First of all, only members may submit images to our gallery. You may submit one image per month. A preview of this image will be put into our gallery with a link to your gallery and the full-sized image. Please include a link to your image, the gallery it is placed under and the keywords you used to describe it. Please note, only high quality and relevant stock will be added to our gallery. Please don't be upset if we refuse to include your works. Also note we prefer complete full-body images (ie we don't want toes, arms etc cut off).


:bulletpurple: For those who wish to use the stock in our gallery

Please note that this is a group/club and you will need to refer to the rules of the owner of the stock before usage. We take no responsibility for the mis-use of stock.
